Debra Johnson has served on the Hungry Hearts Board since April of 2018. Debra also serves on the Board of Directors for the Lawton Community Health Center and is employed by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. She works as the Community Engagement and Health Planning Director for the county health departments in the counties of Beckham, Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Kiowa, Tillman, and Washita. Melissa is a native Lawtonian and works as an Registered Nurse. Melissa often works with patients that have more resource needs and she is always looking for avenues to help. This led to meeting Ms. Adriene by volunteering at a Christmas feeding four years ago and Melissa fell in love with her heart and mission. Since then she has been helping out as often as she can, especially working on community gardens to help provide more sustainable food options for community members in need. Melissa is excited about stepping up in the community to help as a 2021 Hungry Hearts Feeding Ministry Board Member.
